While things are never dull in Kanye West’s world, he reportedly skipped a recent deposition in his divorce proceedings with Kim Kardashian.
For TMZYeezy was scheduled to face Kim’s lawyers on Nov. 16, but failed to appear due to the deposition.
However, Ye will have one more chance to face his wife’s legal team in court. The documents reportedly say the two sides agreed to meet during the morning of November 29.
The trial is currently scheduled to begin on December 14th, so missing another deposition could be legally damaging for Kanye when the trial comes.
There is still a chance that KimYe could reach a joint settlement, but a deal was considered unlikely TMZ because Kanye was uncooperative in interviews and went through six different legal options.
Ye’s legal team reportedly filed a “disclosure statement” in October, meaning they handed over all of his financial documents to his estranged wife’s legal team. He also reportedly reached an agreement on how to divide finances and assets.
Their marriage was officially dissolved in March as both parties were legally single. The reality star and beauty mogul filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021. They have four children together.
Kanye has been busy outside of the locker room in recent days, making a surprise appearance at ComplexCon with possible girlfriend, model Juliana Nala. He also launched his campaign for the 2024 presidential election over the weekend.
In a new video shot by a celebrity gossip website X17, Kanye has confirmed that he will run for president again after a failed bid in 2020, while showing off a plethora of “Ye 24” merchandise, including hoodies and sweatpants that he says will cost just $20.
“We have to make sure everyone can get the same level of cuts, the same level of food, the same level of water, the same level of education… we’re getting behind the past,” he added. “We are focused on the future.”
