Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentaries top King’s priorities | Royal | News

King Charles is set to face another royal crisis as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could release their Netflix documentary series within weeks. While the title, content and exact release date of the documentary series remain unknown, it will be at the top of the king’s mind, the royal biographer claimed.

Daily Mail columnist and Queen’s biographer Robert Hardman said King Charles is a “workaholic”.

Palace Confidential presenter Jo Elvin said it was “good news” as he had inherited “a very difficult file”.

Asked what was top of the pile, Mr Hardman said: “I think the Duke of Sussex’s book is a problem, the Sussexes’ Netflix movie – that’s a problem.

“But like the Queen, she approaches these things the way her father taught her when he was in the Navy.

Mr Hardman said: “The storms will pass and you get on with it.

“And sometimes you have to batten down the hatches.

Despite the coming royal crises, the royal biographer believes that “the main goal will be the coronation and after that we will get over the idea of newness of government.

“Then it becomes a settled new order. And I think that’s the most important thing in his mind.”

Netflix still hasn’t acknowledged that a Netflix series is planned, but unnamed sources have revealed that the highly anticipated series could hit the streaming giant as early as December.

Meghan and Harry first signed a multi-year deal with Netflix in September 2020, with The New York Times reporting that the California-based couple will exclusively create documentaries, documentaries, feature films, scripts and children’s programming for Archwell Productions.

When asked what royal fans can expect from the documentaries, Meghan told Variety: “It’s nice to be able to entrust our story to someone – a seasoned director whose work I’ve long admired – even if it means it might not be the way we they wanted. they said that.

“But that’s not why we’re telling it. We’re entrusting our story to someone else, and that means it’s going to come through their lens.”
