Al Roker is “very grateful” to be home for Thanksgiving with his family.
The “Today” meteorologist shared a health update with fans via social media Thursday after missing the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the first time in 27 years.
Jolly Roker (68) posted a video of himself in comfortable clothes as he walked the corridors of the hospital.
“Okay, this is my version of the Thanksgiving parade,” he said. “Get ready to leave the hospital. Time to fire this taco stand. Woohoo!”
The weather anchor later informed fans that he got home just “in time” to catch some show commentary from “Today” co-stars Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb.
“So #grateful to be home for #thanksgiving dinner with #family,” he wrote in another post shared via Instagram.
Plenty of celebrities and other TV personalities took to the comment sections of Roker’s various posts to send him love and support.

As Page Six previously reported, Roker skipped the annual televised parade in New York this year due to ongoing health issues and was replaced by meteorologist Dylan Dreyer.
“So many of you have been thoughtfully asking where I’ve been,” Roker wrote in a Nov. 18 Instagram post amid growing concern over his absence from the “Today” show.
“I was admitted to hospital last week with a blood clot in my leg which sent clots into my lungs. After some medical intervention, I am fortunate enough to receive excellent medical care and am on the road to recovery.”
Roker ended his post by thanking fans for “all the good wishes” and prayers.
“I hope to see you soon,” he added. “Have a great weekend, everyone.
